What we do.

We are a mowing contractor business, specialising in clearing and mulching small blocks and overgrown sections, paddock topping and light scrub clearing. We’re based in Gisborne and service the surrounding districts. Services include:

What is the Avant?

We operate using the Avant Articulated 4WD all terrain loader. This very versatile piece of equipment is a very capable machine, able to move, clear, level, or relocate anything up to 1400 kg. The attraction of this machine is that it has a very light footprint doing little damage to the ground surface, is only 1.3m wide, weighs 1800kg with a height of just over 2m. It will get in and around where other similar machines won’t.

While we specialise in mowing using the 1.5m wide flail mower – we also have a number of attachments handy for those smaller jobs where larger machinery is an overkill. As shown below, these include:

Flail Mower

Most work we do involves using this attachment. It’s designed to mow long grass, scrub, gorse and similar vegetation up to 20mm in width – basically to clear vegetation and get it under control where a rougher cut will do.

Leveller

Simple implement used to level large areas such as preliminary lawn beds, sand, mulch, gravel driveways.

Four-in-One Bucket

This is an all round implement for landscaping and groundcare. Great for removing wooden fence posts.

Three-prong Ripper

Used to remove rocks, small stumps, roots etc.

Tree Shear

Powerful tree cutter that will cut and remove trees with a trunk of up to 190mm in diameter. In addition, it’s also great for removing fence posts and the like.

Root Grapple

Great attachment for picking up all types of debris from logs to branches and the like.

Pallet Forks

Great for lifting and moving anything that requires a pallet and weighs anything less than 1400kg.

Power Rake

Great implement for grading dirt and grading gravel driveways.
